How broke is broke?

How pampered were you as a kid? Pampered enough to get a phone in the 4th grade? Pampered enough to get anything you pointed towards? Pampered enough to start your 18th birthday with a car parked outside your house that is now your? Yes, that is me.
Well the past year, I definitely have been on a leash when it comes to expenses. The start of the month is the best because when you check how much cash you have in the bank, its so much but by the third week of the month, the leash keeps getting tighter. There are times when I have managed my accounts well enough to have a few extra bucks for the next month, which I also end up spending ultimately and then there are days when I have literally NO MONEY left to even get a soda from the vending machine.
For the past 8 days, I have been broke, literally broke to a point I thank god that I refilled credit in my MRT card before I went broke. My flatmate cooks me noodles pretty much everyday which helps some food go in my tummy. The worst time to go broke is during the last few days of college, during submissions. Printing, burning CD's and all that jazz costs a bomb for someone broke and has to wait for her transfer to come in.
What can also save you is your card from your country, back home. Swipe and draw some emergency cash because that is what I did yesterday. I wonder what I would do without the card. So my advice is, always have a backup plan because being broke can break you.
