Trip to Guangzhou

One of our modules required us to visit a place which would benefit us in the future and help us understand the fashion industry more. Guangzhou was the chosen city and we all begun the preparations for it. this wasn't my first visit to the town but definitely the first time I made use of the knowledge I got on this trip. we visited manufacturing hubs like factories and textile printing factories, art museums, talk shows, observed street fashion, went to high end malls, noticed the behavioural traits of the mass market.

Understanding the market of a rapidly growing country like China is a little bit of a task sometimes since it isn't all that easy. China being over populated yet having such fashion forward cities like Shanghai, Beijing and the cities that specialise in manufacturing and production which would be cities like Guangzhou. we observed how people in Guangzhou dressed up and realised it was more Korean fashion inspired. the city itself is clean and the weather this time was just perfect. I hope we had more modules like these that not only gave us a learning opportunity but also allowed us to enjoy the entire trip our way.
