Just like mom and everyone else say, shifting genuinely is a pain. I shifted to an apartment from the hostel thinking I will get my privacy and get to live the way I want to.

So...... this is how it goes....

I made this wise decision and shifted to PUNGGOL thinking I will be able to manage. Just before going back to India las semester I booked the apartment, paid the advance and was so excited to shift. When I came back from India, I shifted to the apartment and the landlord tells me that I can't cook, can't get friends, I'll have to clean the bathroom and the balcony daily. I disagreed, we started having a lot of problems. I couldn't manage doing all the housework along with the college assignments we got. I decided to shift back to the hostel considering they did everything for me. from laundry to making the bed.

I basically shifted for a month and returned to the hostel. In the bargain, I lost my deposit because I terminated a one year contract in a month. I'm glad I'm back to the hostel though. So hats off to everyone who live alone (especially with such landlords).
